Parents Evening - Salesian Primary School 18th October 2012
It was an AGM with a difference! On Thursday 18th October, while parents gathered informally, children went to their assigned areas – Science, Maths for Fun, Comhaltas, iPads, Storytelling, Energy Exercise. When Parents had been welcomed by Sr. Betty and addressed by Mary Richardson, Chairperson of the Parents Association they dispersed to visit the various activity areas. The atmosphere was wonderful. Parents got a flavour of school activities and the children enjoyed being the centre of activity as they presented their various areas of expertise and interests.
Some comments received:
- “Great team work – very well organised. Everyone knew what they were doing” (Parent)
- “Children great at explaining what they were doing” (Parent)
- “Love the idea of beanbags in the library” (Parent)
The evenings activities were brought to a close when all gathered in the School halla and danced a grand finale to “That’s what makes you beautiful” by One Direction.
Many thanks to Parents Association, Staff, Pupils, Parents, Board of Management who made this years AGM a memory to be cherished.
