Two girls, Áine Dowling and Aoife Corcoran from Mrs. Dowling’s sixth class were lucky enough to join a wonderful Fair Trade celebration, in the beautiful Thomond Park, on Tuesday 22nd November. They were both award winners after entering their artistic christmas cards- along with the whole clas-s in the fair trade competition entitled ‘An Equal Christmas for Everyone’.
Prizes were presented by the Mayor of Limerick Jim Long. He congratulated the prize winners as well as the Limerick Fair Trade promoters on achieving ‘Best Fair Trade Community’ for Limerick City, over 51 other cities and towns. A wonderful achievement for all involved and for those who support Fair Trade.
