We are very excited about next week and the upcoming events for ARTS WEEK 2014!
Monday we will have a visiting theatre to put on a show in the school hall.
Tuesday we will have dance workshops in the morning, and for some classes a trip to the Granary library for a session on the ‘Irish History Live’ in the afternoon.
On Wednesday we will proudly launch and raise our 4th green flag which we, along with Sr. Frances, have worked very hard to achieve. This will be marked in the company of Mayor Kathleen Leddin. Music will also take place on Wednesday in the form of choir.
Thursday will see the announcement of our Poetry Competition which was run in May. We will have the pleasure of a poet and writer who visits each year to announce the winners.
Friday is Visual Arts Day where we will take time to appreciate the art on display in and around the classrooms and corridors of our school.
