4th Class Rock Investigations

4th Class have been learning all about rocks. We learnt that the Earth’s crust is made up of rock. We watched a video about rocks and found out that there are three different rock types – Igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic. In class we examined rock samples. We used magnifying glassess to explore the colour, shape and size of various rocks. We weighed the rocks using a weighing scales and used magnets to see if the rocks were magnet.
